Coronavirus COVID-19 Company Statement

Firstly we would like to wish you and your families continued good health at this time.
In response to the latest information and guidance available, Cara Stationery would like to issue the following updates in respect of operational activities and health and safety measures. Updated March 2021
Service and supply
Our sales office is open as normal. Orders for stocked products that are placed before 5pm Monday to Friday (bank and public holidays excluded) will usually be delivered within 2 working days. Furniture items, special order items and selected other products subject to extended lead times will have estimated lead time advised at point of order.
General Product Availability & Prices
Most of the 10,000+ products in our range remain in stock and readily available for delivery. Order fulfilment rates on most of our range remain in excess of 99%. Product availability is good but certain items remain constrained, particularly printers and some ink cartridges and certain items may at times be unavailable. We are trying to hold prices at the usual rates as far as possible but the price of air freight has increased substantially over the last 12 months because of the huge decline in the passenger flights on which a large amount of goods are shipped. There are also currently some delays on goods coming into the UK from Europe post Brexit and extra costs arising from increased administration and higher transportation costs as has been well documented in the news. Shipping container costs have risen over ten fold in recent months on some routes. This combination of factors is having an impact on prices and will continue to do so for the forseeable future.
Hand Cleansers, Surface Cleaners & Washroom Supplies
Hand sanitisers, washroom paper goods and surface cleaning products continue to be in good supply.
We have a range of acrylic desk 'sneeze guard' screens available as well as floor and wall graphics/signage to aid social distancing. Contact our sales team to discuss your requirements.
Office Furniture Installations
Our office furniture installation service is operational and working in a socially distanced manner, please contact our sales team to discuss your requirements.
Customer & Supplier Meetings
We continue to suspend all face to face customer and supplier meetings. We are happy to conduct telephone or online meetings if required.
Cara Delivery Drivers
Our delivery drivers who deliver on the Cara Stationery van fleet have all been issued with face masks and with hand sanitisation products so they can cleanse their hands after every delivery. They have also been instructed to take the recipients name at point of delivery and record it themselves on our delivery manifest so that customers are not required to handle the delivery paperwork or pens etc. They will also not enter buildings if requested to remain outside and the customer is happy to come outside to take in the order. At all times they will try and adhere to the 2M social distancing directive.
